Simon’s Warehouse, undisclosed location
2:15 pm

Simon had asked Nikki to come to his warehouse and see what she thought about it. He asked her if she would mind staying at the warehouse when he was out of town. After what happened with the Panty Snatcher, he wanted to make sure she was completely protected. While the warehouse didn’t look like much, Nikki knew it likely had better security than even the FBI building.

Nikki didn’t have much time to look around the place the night before….and most of this morning, because the Rage had other plans. Simon was finishing up in the shower and she took the chance to walk around and check it out. They were in an old warehouse in the oldest section of town. From the outside, you wouldn’t think anything of it, but inside, it looked like a modern building. The first floor was all garage and workshop and Simon’s apartment takes up the entire second floor. The floor plan was mostly open with an enclosed bathroom at the back corner that had a huge soaking tub and a state of the art rainfall shower. There was a huge chef’s kitchen in the center and one whole wall was taken up with computers and monitors. Simon’s king sized bed was at the other side. She had made good use of that tub earlier and thought with a wicked little smile how they might use it later this evening. To say Nikki was embracing her new relationship would be putting it mildly. These feelings were almost overwhelming for her. She just prayed with all her heart that Simon wouldn’t break it.

At that thought, she heard the bathroom door open and Simon walked out wearing a pair of jeans that hung low on his hips and he had a towel thrown over his shoulder, his hair still damp and curling slightly. To say he took her breath away would be admitting that she was able to hold air in her chest to begin with. She just stood there taking in all his raw masculinity until he walked straight up to her and lowered his lips to hers in a kiss that made her forget what month it is. When he pulled back slightly and had that half smile on his lips looking at her with love in his eyes, she knew there was nowhere else in the world she would rather be than right here with him.

Nikki turned around in his arms, her back to his chest, and sighed deeply while looking at the whiteboard with their notes from the Robbery case. They had managed to at least start setting up last night before the Rage had other ideas. Reluctantly, she stepped out of his embrace and walked to the board. There are 5 locations total where the missile system is being developed. All of the locations had state of the art security and video monitoring systems at them but the equipment was somehow defeated at the 3 locations that were broken into. Simon figured they were using some form of weaponized EMP (electromagnetic pulse) generator that would have shut down all the electronic surveillance systems. That would have disabled the exterior systems. Once inside, it was likely they used some form of knockout gas. The employees at each site were unconscious for about an hour it was later determined.

Simon had been going through the computer systems trying to figure out how they were accessed and what data may have been removed but it was a tedious process, even for him. He decided that they would focus on the 2 remaining locations. Simon wanted to go to each site and install his own security cameras beyond the normal perimeter they were already using so he could get footage from the exterior of the buildings as they are being attacked. If they can find a person that the Rage could make an introduction, he was sure they would be able to work their way up the chain.

One of the target locations was in the mountains at the border of Virginia and West Virginia and the other in Tennessee. Since it was a nice day, they decided to head to the locations together to install the cameras. When they walked out to Simon’s car he handed Nikki the keys as he kissed her. Nikki just smiled after him as he turned and walked around the car to the passenger side. While she hated to see him go, she loved to watch him leave.

She might have watched the movie Face/Off when Simon was out of town…..
